About Us

Where we stand, what we believe, and how we Worship The King

History

Navarro Mills was founded in 1901 near the site of the original flour mill which gave the community it's name. It has been a light in this community for over 100 years. As culture and society has changed, Navarro Mills has made its purpose to stay true to the Gospel of Christ and the Grace of God through the preaching of His Word and living out the Grace delivered by Christ.

Hope

The only all satisfying hope we have as humans is in Jesus Christ. Our  hope is that, through Christ, we will reach all the people groups around us. There are no "big sinners". We are all "big sinners". Thankfully there is a bigger Savior. In a world that thinks it's "alright" or "too far gone" we want to live a life and share the word of the Savior who died to bring hope to all who will believe.

Romans 3:23, 2 Corinthians 12:9

High Calling

Our "High Calling" is clear. The Great Commission of God is to reach the whole world with the great news of salvation through Jesus Christ. The "whole world" starts in our homes, spreads to our neighbors, our workplace, and all those we are blessed to encounter. There is no racial, social, cultural, or income barrier for the saving Grace of our Lord. We strive to be a church that sees all people saved, all people grow, and all people serve the living Lord.

Matthew 28:16-20

What we Believe

Each body of believers has distinctions unique to their congregation. We happily cover  those during "Membership Classes".    Below are a brief list of doctrine that we believe are necessary for one to believe as Christians.

- The Triune Nature of God. One God in three persons - Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.

- Divine Revelation. God has made Himself known to all of the world through His revealed word and the miracle of creation.

- Sovereignty & Creation. God created & controls all things, time, and places.

- Man as Image Bearer. Man is created in the image of God and has inborn worth and value above all of the created order.

- Sin Fractured Humanity. The introduction of sin into the world fractured it and put all people in need of salvation.

- Salvation in Christ. Salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith in Christ Jesus alone.

- The Church. The church is the body of Christ on earth. It's purpose is to share the glory of God and the grace of Christ.

- He's coming Back. Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead and put a end to sin and destruction.
